library catalogues
A significant part of the work of editing music is locating original sources. Many large libraries around the world have online catalogues of their holdings which make the research more straightforward than it might be. However, some of the composers and holdings with whom I deal do not always have the resources to make this information available. Therefore, the digital repository offers a place for this material to be made accessible to a wider audience. While it does not have the indexing power of the databases run by major libraries, a searchable PDF of a catalogue which is not available elsewhere is a very useful start.
I am aware that this resource is likely to be an eclectic collection of information which will grow naturally as my research continues and I work with other people and places.
